The Camel Trophy represented adventure expedition and competition, from 1980 to 2000. It was an exceptional opportunity to test men and machines against natural obstacles.
Perseverance and resilience gave my country the 2nd place in the competition in 1983 (Zaire).
Being a Enthusiast LEGO and fan of Land Rover Defender, I took upon myself the task to carry out this construction allusive to the Camel Trophy. I think that is the best way to represent these magnificent vehicles and this hard test.
The winch operates through the Power Functions command, and it is possible to detach and pull the cable freely.
All lights and direction work through SBrick, except the brakes.
After a few months of construction, I reached the conclusion that it was not possible for this vehicle to roll on the ground because it is very heavy (6.5 kg, 14.33 lb). However, I let the 4-speed gearbox remain in the model.
It is possible to mount the tent!
This layout was built especially for the FanWeekend 2017 in Paredes de Coura Portugal.
This is not a LEGO set that you can buy, and I also have no instructions! It’s a free style building!
However, I am happy if my work inspires you!

Thank you all
